Major casino expansion programs for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation (MPTN) involved comprehensive environment, health, and safety services during fast-paced construction as well as threshold, plan, and constructability reviews of all contractor submittals. The two largest projects were the $700M MGM Grand expansion and the $20M Foxwoods Resort Casino connector.
Under a strict 26-month schedule, targeted EH&S and engineering/construction audits supported MPTN during the MGM Grand build-out of more than 1 million square feet of retail, hotel, gaming, and entertainment space. Additional construction for the Foxwoods Resort Casino connector totaled approximately 1 million square feet of support services including parking garages, an enclosed access bridge, and physical plant enhancements.
All MTPN construction scope, schedule, and budget KPIs were met at program completion. Proactive EH&S audits and procedures resulted in zero recordable incidents.
